September 7th, 2009 First day at Shadstone
Everything turned out to be not good before I went to my first day at work for Shadstone. First, I got my dress zipper stucked… .took 30minutes for me to unzip it. With this, I have to ask my male roomate to help me remove my dress. That was embarassing but I have to or else Im gonna be very very late for the first day. Second, I lost the Chinese address of the office. I picked up my phone to asks Shadstone’s office address…gush, my phone needs a reset. 15minutes I really need to go. Good thing I caught my boss online on skype so I ask him to send the Chinese address of their office. I headed for a taxi.
While in the taxi, I was already imagining how will it look like in Shadstone’s office. “Maybe it’s gonna be a battlefield I needed to equip my self with weapons. Or will I see arguments and problems and pressures. Or is it gonna be fun.. is it gonna be saying Hi’s and Hello’s with everybody welcoming me. I was a little bit scared and excited.
Then, I was in the office. I met Mr. Mike Michelini. He is young, warm and hyperactive boss to employees. Can you imagine a 28 year old guy playing children’s ball inside his office. He is really funny. I never had this kind of thing in my pasts work experience. At Shadstones’ all are young and fun working. Jane, my seatmate helped me over started my blog. Mark, who is good in website designing had lunch with me together and Raine who is also very concentrated with her job. Jojo got the funniest blog ever. I wanna build my own office like this kind of environment. I learned a lot from my frist day about Social Networking, SEO and of course without my blog you can’t read this.
